Broadcast important messages regarding your Site

2 August 2008 1,075 views Comments Permanent Link

Have a Broadcast Information message at the top of the first visit of your registered user after any important revision.

Make sure to not display it in all pages. Have a System where you can log as to which User has already been notified about the issue.

Its preferable if the message snippet can be closed/hidden without disturbing any other part of the Page.

This is how LinkedIn did it when it changed it’s Privacy Policy recently (I saw this just now)

We’ve updated! On July 31, 2008, LinkedIn published revised versions of our Privacy Policy and our User Agreement. Using LinkedIn means you consent to these policies, so please take a few minutes to read and understand them
