how do I fix the "http://http%3A%2F%2F" and add a Title to my share?

The FBMeme button appears next to each post on my blog BUT it only displays the number of FB shares when the button is clicked. Is there a way to make it so that the FBMeme button automatically displays that info whenever posts are loaded? I felt like it had functioned that way when i first installed it but now i can't get it to work. Any help would be appreciated.
  • Hi @dougrh,

It seems like there is a bug in Facebook's Code.

It appears correctly at times and doesn't some other time.

Haven't been able to take out time to investigate it further.

Understood. Thought it might be something on their side. Thanks for clarifying for me. BTW the plugin works great on my websites. Really appreciate the hard work.
  • Really excellent plugin – I appreciate you efforts in developing this plugin - Cheers

  • There is currently an error with the plugin share functionality. Instead of displaying the meta description of the target page, the share button displays something like this as the description, "var __external_use_page_url = "http://razorfishsearch.com/201..."; var __external_use_page_summary = "Top Chef Competition Heats Up"; var __buzrr_style = "big_blue_buzzicon_bg";"
  • Making sure Share preview works. When a user Shares your content, we look at your page to find a relevant title and image, and media if you specify it.
  • Nice plugin. Any suggestions please on the styling code to enter so that the button appears nicely next to or below the TweetMeme button? (I am not a programmer)
  • Hey Matt,
I had a look at your Blog.
seems you are talking about having the buttons show up as in my own Blog http://j.mp/FBMeme

I see you are using the following for style in your Tweetmeme button.

    float: right; margin-left: 10px;

You can use the same for the FBMeme Button to have the desired effect.

  • Really like the plugin! I have been looking for it's equal for a while. However, is there anyway to get the plugin to recognize individual posts rather thank wanting to share the whole page?
    the page is asiawtf.com
  • Hey Mike,

I haven't really been able to work out a way for that.
Will try to include this Option in my next Update.

Seems The Facebook share button script doesn't have this Option currently.

Will need to dig deeper into their Documentation/Code :)

    Hope to solve it soon..
