Haven’t they heard of un-subscription links?

I have noticed this on several occasions now.

Haven’t the Online media/Internet Services Companies in India heard the concept of un-subscription links, spamming and the efforts around the world to fight against it..

I just received an email from BharatMatrimony with  the following Subject.

Murugavel Janakiraman[CEO of BharatMatrimony.com] just sent you a Matrimony Day e-card

The email had no link to Unsubscribe for future emails. To make things worse the email was a duplicate copy of another email with the same content that i received yesterday.

Previously I have noticed absence of unsubscription links in many other mails sent by such Indian Companies.

To name the others my Inbox has many emails without any links/instructions to unsubscribe from contest2win.com which i joined only because my Friend Ekalabya is a part of it  sent many mails

Being an Indian It causes a lot of pain to me to see that these companies do not meet this very basic Standard Practice.

Where are we heading?

  • HI...Nice article. Even m facing this problem from long time. Dailyarounf 20-25 spams and that too without unsubscription links. I hope we can find some way to stop this practice of Indian companies.
  • @Dirnov Not all of them are like this of-course. There are Companies and People at par with the World Standard here..

    @Ekalavya good if they have it now... I have mails in my inbox which didn't have them...

    @AlexAxe Thanks...
  • Ugh, I liked! So clear and positively.
