@rungss Headphones choose type: in/over/around ear. Choose brand: Phllips/Senheizer. Phillips is good value for money. I use SHP8900.

Okay, I'm going to give you a few recos.

    1. In-ear earphones: Excellent for travelling. Invaluable if you like music and take the Mumbai local trains. Relatively cheap method to get noise isolation. Not recommended for long periods since they're relatively closer to your eardrum and it starts getting irritating after a while. The good ones are any... Read More Sony / Philips within the 1000-1500 price range. But the best I've used so far are Sennheiser's CX300 which I have. They cost a little, though. 2300 types.

    2. Over-ear headphones: Now again, if you want smaller, comfortable ones, nothing beats Sennheiser's PX100. One of the world's best headphones, costs 2400 in India. Bigger ones (clunky ones associated with internet cafes) are also decent. Sony, Philips are good bets. I recommend Sennheiser's MD201, which is 990 bucks, and is excellent value for money.

A problem, though - none of these come with mic. The headphones which I've checked out are largely from a sound quality point of view, and I don't think any good audio headphones will come with a mic (which is the domain of cheaper brands which are just functional - iBall, Intex, etc).

My reco is to get a decent pair of headphones like the HD201, and buy a separate standing mic.
