Transparency Factor, Update your Users with any changes in Terms of Service
Just received an email from Twitter.
There are a lot of Things that you learn from such emails.
- You take efforts and revisit your Terms of Service and update based on the need of the Hour.
- It’s ok to take inputs from Industry Standards, but you should not just copy paste the Terms on which you want to provide your Service/Product.
- Last but not the least, you should update your Users about the changes. The rationale is that your Users had agreed to the Terms at the Time they started using your services, now that It has changed they should know it so they can decide if they agree and continue using the Service or if they don’t.
- Be Open to Ideas, Comments, Suggestions and Feedbacks and further changes to the Terms and let your Users know that you are.

We’ve posted a brief overview on our company blog and you can read the Terms of Service online. If you haven’t been by in a while, we invite you to visit Twitter to see what else is new.

These updates complement the spirit of Twitter. If the nature of our
